Fabulous Pair of Halabala H269’s – 1940’s
The Halabala Model H269 is a fabulous chair designed by Jindrich Halabala and manufactured by UP Zavody Brno in Czechoslovakia … late 30’s early 40’s.
The chairs have bentwood arms, sprung seat and has been traditionally re upholstered in this gorgeous cloth from ENGLISH fabric house VILLA NOVA collection GENEVA colour EUCALYPTUS, gorgeous colour but difficult to photograph, with a tan faux leather trim from FRENCH house HOULÉS Please do not hesitate to contact me for a fabric sample. The legs/arms have been professionally restored by our French polisher … gorgeous chairs.

Designed by Jindrich Halabala and manufactured by UP Zavody Brno in Czechoslovakia … possibly around the late 30’s early 40’s. Halabala was an industrial designer, writer, and educator and had a tremendous influence on the interior design of many interwar and postwar Czech homes.
Most importantly he designed some amazing chairs!
