I found these buckle boards (1850/1870) at an antique market in the UK and they intrigued me. Once a salesman’s tool for taking orders when visiting haberdashers … I had to have them!
I have had them mounted and made into objet d’arts – there are two see photos. I love them! So much so they have been on my wall for 3 years … it’s time to let them go.
The boards have been mounted on dark green velvet and have a wooden, black stained professional frame. I decided not to have the boards fixed to the velvet as they are pieces of social history which someday maybe removed.
