The Studio – TheKula

My name is Christine Shepherd, a Londoner by birth, entrepreneur and a free spirit by nature with a passion for chairs, lighting and art.

It was whilst living in Tarifa, Spain that the creative juices were let loose! I returned to the UK in 2010 and a new adventure began.

It has been an interesting journey … but what has been extraordinary is that in 2018 a passion from my youth returned with a vengeance … I wanted to paint, and I wanted to paint big. I told myself ‘if you don’t do it now you never will’.  So I closed my shop in Hastings Old Town, where I had been trading for 8 years, gradually changed my business, my life and created time to do just that. Paint.

My studio is in a creative space is on a farm in Battle, East Sussex, which I share as a member of Radiator Arts, a collaboration of talented artists, designers and performers.
